Ready to take your cake decorating skills to the next level? This Cake Decorating Deep Dive is the ultimate hands-on experience for anyone who wants to truly understand the techniques behind beautifully finished cakes. In this immersive workshop, our instructors will guide you through every step of the decorating process, starting with essential cake prep including stacking, filling, crumb coating, and achieving smooth, clean buttercream finishes. From there, you’ll learn foundational piping techniques, buttercream consistency, color blending, texture work, and how to confidently use decorating tools to create professional-looking designs. Then comes the fun part… decorating! You’ll put your new skills into action as you create a fully finished cake from start to finish, learning techniques you can easily recreate and build on at home. Depending on the class style, you may explore textured buttercream, vintage piping, florals, palette knife work, borders, and modern cake styling. As a bonus, you’ll head home with your beautifully decorated 6" cake, practice materials, decorating tips, and the confidence to continue creating in your own kitchen. Perfect for beginners wanting a strong foundation or home bakers looking to refine their technique, this class is equal parts educational, creative, and seriously fun. CLASS TIME: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM BYOB: We're a BYOB venue! If you'd like to pick up some beer or wine on your way, we're conveniently close to a few stores. State Line Liquor Store is right before the turn to Springhill Farm Rd if you're coming from Pineville Matthews Rd, and Frugal MacDougal's is right before the turn to Springhill Farm Rd if you're coming from I-77. Glassware and openers are provided free of charge! 1 WEEK NOTICE: Full refund or future class credit. (ALL VALENTINE'S CLASSES AND CAMPS ARE 2 WEEK NOTICE TO RECEIVE REFUND) 72 HOURS NOTICE: You may receive a future class credit that may only be rescheduled once. If you cannot make the new class, you may give your seat to someone else to attend in your place, but no further credit will be issued. LESS THAN 72 HOURS NOTICE: You may give your seat to someone to attend in your place, but no credit will be given. Please just have your stand-in give your name at the door. NO SHOW: If you do not call or e-mail prior to the class, no refund or credit will be given. Please remember that the classes are events like a concert or a play, not an appointment to be rescheduled.
