The Foodie School

All classes include recipes or a class lecture packet, servings of each recipe prepared (to be consumed in class - no doggie bags!). You may bring your own wine or beer to enjoy with your meal. Seating and enrollment are on a first-come, first-served basis. If a class is sold out, there may still be room on our waiting list. With some exceptions, registration closes 8 hours prior to class. Payment is made at the time of registration.​

HANDS-ON CLASSES.
Be prepared to cook! Please remember to wear flat, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and comfortable clothing. Long hair must be tied back. Aprons and towels will be provided for your use in class. Students are divided into groups at the discretion of the instructor. Toward the end of class, you will be seated to enjoy 
your meal. Classes are limited to 14 students ages 18 and older unless noted otherwise; students ages 16 and older may attend with a registered parent or guardian. Students 21 and over are welcome to bring their own wine or beer to enjoy responsibly with their meal.

 

DEMONSTRATION CLASSES

Sit back and watch as The Foodie School chefs teach you how to prepare delicious dishes at home, but do all the work for you! You will get to taste each of the dishes prepared and ask questions! It's like a live cooking show. Students 21 and over, please feel free to bring your own wine or beer to enjoy

responsibly in class. Included in this category is our Sliced live cooking competition

where you will watch two Charlotte-area chefs battle it out over mystery basket

ingredients and get to try their creations.​

LIVE VIRTUAL CLASSES

Did you know we offer live virtual classes? If you want to stay home and cook in your PJ’s, we offer that too!

  • $500 for up to 10 screens on Zoom.

  • You will get an ingredient, prep, and equipment list before the class.

  • You will cook along with the chef, getting to ask questions in real time.

ARRIVAL We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to the start of class. And come HUNGRY, you will be served a lot of food to be consumed in class.

ALLERGENS

While The Foodie School is not an allergen-free facility, we will do our best to make menu substitutions for you if you have an allergy (not all dishes may be able to be altered). No substitutions will be able to be offered without advance notice. Please alert us at least 48 hours in advance via the Contact Us Page.

FOOD RESTRICTIONS

If you have certain dietary needs (such as vegan or vegetarian), please Contact Us before registering for a class so we can give you advice on which class will best suit your needs. Not all classes or dishes will be able to be altered. Please be mindful of choosing a menu that is closely aligned with your dietary restrictions (such as if you are vegan, please don't sign up for Butter, Bacon & Booze).

NO DOGGIE BAGS are permitted by law, so please understand the policy is for our protection and yours!! Don't worry, you'll eat plenty of food in class!!

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations are done internally only

72 HOURS NOTICE options:

  • Full refund

  • Future Class Credit / Switch Class

All Valentine's Day classes, and Camps, have a 2-week cancellation policy to receive a refund, 1 week cancellation policy to receive credit toward a future class

48 HOURS NOTICE option:

  • Future Class Credit / Switch Class

May only be rescheduled once. If you cannot make the new class, you may give your seat to someone else to attend in your place, but no further credit will be issued.

24 HOURS NOTICE option:

  • You may give your seat to someone to attend in your place, but no

        credit will be given.

Please just have your stand-in give your name at the door.

​

NO SHOW:

  • If you do not call or e-mail prior to the class, no refund or credit will be given.

Please remember that the classes are events like a concert or a play, not

an appointment to be rescheduled.

COVID-19 Policy:

If you answer yes to any of the following questions, we ask that you DO NOT

attend class. Please cancel below and you will receive a Future Class Credit.

  1. Have you or anyone in your household had any of the following symptoms in the last 21 days: sore throat, cough, chills, body aches for unknown reasons, shortness of breath for unknown reasons, loss of smell, loss of taste, fever at or greater than 100 degrees Fahrenheit?

  2. Have you or anyone in your household been tested for COVID-19?

  3. Have you or anyone in your household traveled in the U.S. in the past 21 days?

  4. Have you or anyone in your household traveled on a cruise ship in the last 21 days?

  5. Have you or anyone in your household cared for an individual who is in quarantine or is a presumptive positive or has tested positive for COVID-19?

  6. Do you have any reason to believe you or anyone in your household has been exposed to or acquired COVID-19?

  7. To the best of your knowledge have you been in close proximity to any individual who tested positive for COVID-19?

If you choose the option to switch classes, within 72 hours of receiving your cancellation, we will send you a Coupon Code which allows you to register for a new class of your choice.

***Although we make every effort to avoid changes to our class schedule, The Foodie School reserves the right to cancel any class due to low registration, make menu changes or substitute instructors in case of an emergency or inability to find specific ingredients.
