Ages: 7 - 9, 10 - 13, 14 - 18

A hands-on, immersive culinary adventure for young chefs! Foodie Summer Camp is an engaging, skill-building experience designed to boost confidence, creativity, and real kitchen know-how. Throughout the week, students cook side-by-side with our professional chef-instructors to explore a wide range of techniques, flavors, and cuisines—all while discovering what it truly means to cook from scratch.

🥕 What We’ll Learn

Each day focuses on building a strong foundation of culinary skills, including:

  • Knife skills & safety: Mastering basic cuts with confidence

  • Kitchen math: Measuring, fractions, conversions, and recipe scaling

  • Core cooking methods: Sautéing, roasting, baking, simmering, and more

  • Working with doughs, batters, sauces, and seasonings

  • Food plating & presentation

  • Teamwork, kitchen organization, and food safety

🌍 A Global Culinary Tour

As the week progresses, students will explore a range of global cuisines, comfort food favorites, bakery & pastry techniques, and seasonal dishes. Camp is designed to spark curiosity, foster experimentation, and reinforce the kind of culinary fundamentals that translate easily into home cooking.

🎉 The Grand Finale: Family Luncheon

To wrap up the week, students will plan and prepare a culminating luncheon to show off what they’ve learned. Each camper can invite one to two special guests to attend this final meal, where they’ll cook, plate, and serve a multi-course menu they helped create. It’s a celebration of teamwork, creativity, and skill!

🗓️ Daily Schedule & Structure

Each morning begins with a quick overview of the day’s itinerary and goals. Students then rotate through hands-on stations in small groups to collaboratively execute that day’s recipes. The session wraps with a shared family-style lunch featuring everything they’ve cooked! We are well equipped to adjust many of our recipes to accommodate common dietary restrictions*, ensuring every camper enjoys a full and delicious meal.

⚠️ Please Note: Due to other programming at The Foodie School, we do not offer before or after care. Drop-off is no earlier than 10:15 AM and pickup no later than 1:45 PM each day.
