Service Description
Spend your Sunday afternoon baking up a little taste of fall! 🍎🎃 In this hands-on macaron workshop, Foodie School Pastry Chef Joy Ludwig McNutt will guide you through the art of creating two adorable autumn treats: apple- and pumpkin-shaped French macarons. You’ll learn the techniques behind making beautiful macarons from start to finish, including preparing and piping the batter, achieving that signature smooth shell and delicate “foot,” and adding the decorative finishing touches that transform classic macarons into a colorful fall harvest. And these little treats taste every bit as good as they look! Your apple macarons will feature cinnamon-spiced shells filled with apple compote, salted caramel, and salted caramel buttercream for a caramel-apple-inspired bite. Then you’ll switch to pumpkin with warm pumpkin spice macarons filled with maple buttercream and pumpkin-white chocolate ganache. Chef Joy will share her tips and techniques for tackling one of baking’s most famously finicky treats, helping take some of the mystery out of making macarons at home. You’ll also learn decorating and finishing techniques to turn your shells into colorful apples and pumpkins that are almost too cute to eat! Whether you’re new to macarons or looking to sharpen your skills, join us for a cozy afternoon of fall baking and take home your handmade macarons to enjoy.
